Mexico city was Alexia's home for 1 month in June of 2024. When Austin came to visit, they both fell in love with CDMX and they hope you will too! Below are some recommendations for sites to see, places to eat, where to drink, and activities to do :)

Sites to see:

1. Walk around all the different city parks

- Parque Mexico

- Parque Espana

- Bosque de Chapultepec

2. Calle Amsterdam: a cute street with cafes next to Parque Mexico

3. Polanco district: the designer store area of the city with really fancy yummy restaurants

4. Museo Soumaya: a classic art museum

5. Castillo Chapultepec: historic hilltop castle

6. Museo de la Bellas Artes: a palace of fine arts and murals

7. Zocalo: Main square in Mexico City with Aztec ruins and federal capital buildings

8. Museo Jumex: a modern art museum

9. Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral

10. Roma Norte district: lots of incredible restaurants and architecture

11. Condesa district: where the hotel block is located, a trendy and younger part of the city

Places to eat:

1. Panaderia Rosetta: the yummiest freshly baked Mexican bread. Make sure to try a concha (Alexia's favorite) and to arrive early, the line gets extremely long.

2. Contramar: amazing seafood

3. Tacos Orinco: popular tacos

4. Maximo Bistrot: a Michelin star restaurant (reservation required months in advance)

5. Pujol: a Michelin star restaurant (reservation required months in advance)

6. La Docena: seafood and oyster bar

7. Blanco Colima: Spanish cuisine with Mexican flare

7. Mercado Roma: an indoor food market

8. Morro Churreria: popular churro place with several locations around Mexico City

Where to drink:

1. Licoreria Limantour, one of the top 50 bars in the world (reservation required for Roma Norte location)

2. Beltra: unique craft cocktails (reservation may be required)

3. Gin Gin: craft cocktails (condensa location walkable to room block hotel)

4. El Asserin: Dive bar

5. Skybar Condensa: Rooftop bar at neighboring Mondrian Hotel

Activities to do:

1. Visit Frida Khalo's house in Coyoacan (this is about a 25 min drive from hotel block)

2. Visit Teotihuacan pyramids: about 1.5 hours away from hotel block (highly suggest using a tour service)

3. Visit Xochimilco: canals about 1 hour away from hotel block where you can rent boats and enjoy snacks and drinks (with on water vendors!)
